English Speaking Groups

CIRCLIST’s own discussion group <http://groups.google.com/group/circlist/> closed in June 2010 and has not been replaced. Those running it considered that it was attempting to cover too broad a subject area. Fine when CIRCLIST started (as a paper-&-ink publication) in 1977, at which time it was the only such means of information exchange about circumcision. That monopoly lasted very nearly until the end of the 20th Century, but since then a plethora of other, more specialised, forums have sprung up. There no longer appears to be a need for an ‘umbrella’ group - just an index of the more specialised groups. Hence this web page.

The former MSN Male Circumcision Community Group on World Groups has moved to Yahoo Groups. In its new home, it is included in the list below.

The vast majority of circumcision discussion groups are hosted by Yahoo. Most but not all are within the ring fence surrounding what Yahoo term "Adult" groups.
It is a quirk of Yahoo’s search system that a search for 'circumcision' conducted from inside the Adult area returns only a list of Adult groups. Thus it would be very easy to miss groups that lie outside the Adult category. Here, we have combined into one list our recommendations:

Please do not risk causing offence by posting to these groups in English.
This site now has multiple language choices, including English.
